OK, so as if it weren’t bad enough that Apple Stores in Soho were racially profiling customers before selling them iPads…
Apparently, JB Hi-Fi stores in Australia were flat out lying to it’s customers to get them to buy more crappy accessories for their new device. No kidding.
When customers tried to buy just an iPad by itself, store employees told them that they HAD TO buy other things such as screen protectors, SIM cards, docking stations, and even charging adapters. According to them, it was “Apple Policy.” *ahem*bullshit*cough*
In fact, this was just one example of the used-car salesman behavior exhibited by the customer reps. Other customers complained further that they were told the iPads did not come with a charging adapter, forcing them to buy one on the spot.
Also not true of course. All iPads come with adapters.
I don’t know what’s going on here, but iPads really seem to be causing a lot of normal people to act like assholes. Not cool. : (
