You must be doing something wrong at Pandigital if your brand new Ebook Reader gets pulled from Kohl’s after less than 1 month. I don’t know. Call me crazy
Apparently, the early reviews were right. Users reported laggy browsing, wifi that couldn’t connect, and touchscreen UN-responsiveness to say the least.
The good news (sorta) is that you can return it for a full refund if you were unlucky enough to have picked one up. Although to be clear, the recall is purely for software reasons and not for faulty hardware. They are simply upgrading the firmware to address a few of the issues mentioned.
Once the firmware has been fixed, the Novel will be back on Kohl’s shelves as they seem to be very good about the support. The re-released Novel will still run Android 2.0 and the hardware will still be overly heavy.
